Custom Suits for West Hollywood
Mr James is a bespoke tailoring house in Playa del Rey, about forty minutes from West Hollywood depending on the hour. We have made fully canvassed bespoke suits since 2010, cut from a pattern drawn for one person and made by hand in our atelier in Southern Brittany, France, from $1,795.

Evening clothes done properly
A dinner suit is the commission we make most often for West Hollywood, and it is $1,795, the same as a two-piece. Peak or shawl lapel, grosgrain or satin facings, a single button, trousers with a braid and no belt loops. Notch, peak or shawl works through the lapel choice, and the tuxedo page covers the rest. If the invitation is ambiguous, tuxedo or suit applies to more than weddings.
Something with a little more nerve
This is the part of the city where a suit can carry some colour and some cut. A double-breasted jacket, a bolder check, a tobacco linen for daytime, a velvet dinner jacket for winter. We will tell you plainly when an idea will date badly; the rest we enjoy making. Double-breasted or single-breasted and styling a custom suit through the LA year are a good start.

Agents, managers, publicists and the people in front of the camera all need clothes that photograph well: a clean shoulder line, a lapel that lies flat, trousers with no break to speak of. Fit does most of that work, and how a suit should fit is the standard we hold every garment to.

Four to six weeks in domestic cloth, six to eight in imported cloth. A rush is possible at 25 per cent more. Fittings are unlimited and included.
