ABOUT
I’m Robb “James” Pollard , and setting up and running Mr James is a labour of love for me. Having been in the tailoring industry since 2010, I have seen every aspect of tailoring from the designing process and creating garments for high end corporate accounts and celebrities.
My career has taken me from working in a luxury menswear boutique with a fine tailoring heritage, co-founding one of the leading names in British tailoring and finally to launching Mr James. Over this time I have made some fantastic friends in the industry and have established some very strong contacts with high profile clients.
I am originally from England and bring with my European fit and standards of Custom Clothing in which I take a great pride in how you look – whether it’s for your big day at your Wedding, in your meeting with clients or simply to catch everyone’s eye when you walk in the room… nothing beats a man in a well fitted suit.
Bespoke
We believe that dressing well should be something to look forward to every day, and since 2011, we’ve been making clothes that feel as good as they look.
We specialize in contemporary tailoring that is elegant, exceptionally comfortable and properly constructed using traditional artisanal methods. We create individual pieces expressly for you, according to your personal requirements and preferences. This includes suits and formalwear to shirts, casual-wear, coats and much more.
What is Bespoke Suit?
A Bespoke suit is made from Scratch, just for you – in other words no other fabric is cut until you have been measured. We do not offer MTM (Made to Measure) actually we consider this not a craft nor do we like to see MTM associated with Mr James. All our suits and clothings are made especially for you. MTM suits are made from an existing pattern that has already been cut and ready to be customized according to your measurements and preferences,. Bespoke is so much more intensive – requires more fabric and way more skill according to your unique measurements, it also takes on average 30-35 hours of work for a Bespoke Suit.
Our garments are cut and assembled in our French (Maxime & his team) atelier than hand finished in our own workroom in Los Angeles, California
CHOOSING THE DETAILS
Any fine garment starts with the cloth and we work with the world’s finest suppliers, including Loro Piana, Holland & Sherry, Fox Brothers, Ariston, Caccioppoli, Albini and Thomas Mason. We will guide you through selecting a cloth that meets your specific requirements, including look, weight and performance, giving you a finished garment that not only looks great, but wears and lasts. We offer comprehensive personalization options across all of our garments, such as lapel width and shape, trouser pleats or side adjuster, pocket configuration, linings, buttons and embroidery options, allowing for a truly individual garment made especially for you.
